Living in Maine we have quite the extreme weather. Beautiful sunny days in the 70-80’s in the summer and freezing 32-negative numbers in the winter. Our springs are very late and we really call it mud season, black fly, mosquito season. But we love the solitude and beauty of nature that is all around us.
One of the things we do not get as often is long thunderstorms. But, we were blessed with one the other evening. (Much to my dogs frustration), she bark almost the whole time. During the storm I looked out on the marsh that is in the back of our house and saw a magnificent great blue heron in the water. It stayed there for at least 15 minutes.
